Determining the Concentration of Citric Acid in 7-Up (soft drink) Using Acid-Base Titration. Titration of 7-Up:
1. Obtain 50 mL of your soft drink sample. The soft drink samples in your lab have been opened several days in advance to assure it is decarbonated.
2. Add 10 mL of the soft drink into a clean 250 mL Erlenmeyer.
3. Add 2 to 3 drops of phenolphthalein.
4. Fill your burette with the standardized NaOH.
5. Add the NaOH solution to the soft drink until the first faint lasting pink color
appears.
6. Repeat this part two more times.
7. Calculate the molarity of the citric acid in the soft drink.

And Calculate the w/v% for citric acid in the soft drink.
