The issue of "Federalism" first came to the fore in the Adams Administration with the Virginia and
Kentucky Resolutions, and then again in 1814 with the Federalist Party and their Hartford Convention,
and then again with the Nullification Crisis during the Jackson Administration. What was the
Nullification Crisis all about and who were the players, how was it resolved and what, perhaps, did it
foretell regarding future rebellions against northern interest?
