What do I need to know about the subject "history?"
I've never been a social studies or history student in general. I was always embarrassed that I could never understand or remember anything about history. This gradually affects me because it's something I'm supposed to know in order to be considered "intellectual."
I'd like for someone to give me advice on what I should know about social studies. I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm having trouble memorizing any historical topic.
I’m currently taking general W History as a sophomore in high school. Now I do understand what we’re learning, but sometimes my teacher asks me questions that I don’t know the answers to. He keeps telling me that I should already know this, but how? Was I not paying attention during my years of 5th-9th grade?
I just want a guide on topics that are important throughout history. What are the major events everyone should memorize?
I’m sorry in advance if I’m not clear enough, but I just really need help.
