The data file RedWineSample.csv contains data on 120 red wines. The variables are as follows: case an identifying case number for each sample pH a measure of acidity or alkalinity in a solution density a measure of how much mass is contained in a given volume of a substance fixed.acidity the total concentration of acids that are not volatile and remain in the wine after evaporation It is known that acidity in wine impacts both pH and density. It is straightforward and inexpensive to measure pH therefore we are interested if pH alone helps us understand density in red wine. a. Provide a histogram of the pH. [5] b. Identify any extreme values in the distribution of pH by stating their Case numbers and explain why you think they are potential extreme values. [2] c. Ignoring any outliers, describe the pH distribution in terms of location, spread and shape. [3] d. Including any outliers, provide the mean, median and sample standard deviation for the distribution. [3] e. Create a scatterplot of pH and density [5] f. Based only on the scatterplot, briefly describe the relationship between the variables in terms of direction, shape, strength and extreme values/outliers. [4]
