Management staff at our agency have the ability to generate reports based on the type of coordination notes entered into our system. These reports will be generated to help monitor our rehospitalization rate, as reducing this is one of our current goals. With increasing coordination of care, we will also be able to reduce the cost of unnecessary supplies being shipped to patient homes. Frequently, wound care orders are changed, and the change does not get communicated to the office prior to supply orders being placed for patients. This results in supplies being shipped that are no longer needed and cannot be returned. We will also monitor patient satisfaction scores to determine if our new policies are having a positive effect as expected. How can management help to make these goals successful? Include sources.
