A bird is sitting on the corner of a blade of a wind turbine (which can be assumed as a cantilever beam). The mass of the bird is 3 kg, and the Young's Modulus of the blade is 200 GPa. If the length of the turbine blade is 2m and the second moment of area of the beam is 40 X 10 kg/m2, (i) Find the frequency of vibration of the bird. (ii) If the amplitude of vibration decreases to 1/10th of its preceding amplitude, find the value of the damping ratio and also find the damped frequency.
