I believe this is one critical reason why the technique described by Chris Voss is key in leadership. Taking the emotion out of the situation by never splitting the difference and using tactical empathy will help leaders make better decisions. It is a great technique to use and maintain positive relationships. Are there ways that you are already using these techniques and may have not realized it?
