The world was at a pivotal point back in the early 1930s and 1940s
The world order was changing the traditional powers of France and the United Kingdom were challenged by the growing power of Germany.
Japan had become a regional military power and was already threatening America's Pacific interests.
Even with so many events taking place, the United States stayed away from entering into what was generally seen as a 'European War'

However, with the rise of Nazi Germany, most of Europe came under the direct and indirect control of Germany.Japan had successfully fought wars against the Chinese, British, Russians and the French.

When things seemed out of control an likely reliance between the United Kingdom, United States and the Soviet Union was only a matter of time.

The UK was the world's largest Empire while the United States had become the richest country in the world. The Soviet Union had the largest Army at it's disposal and united three proved too strong for any Axis powers.

Despite what many say, at the time and in the world of the 1940s, this alliance was instrumental in moving the world towards freedom.
