Which societies gained the most as a result of the Mongol period? Which societies gained the least? East Asia and Western Europe had the biggest gain with the mongol conquest one is due to the establishing of the Silk Road. This enabled increase in the trade and overall growth of economy and technology with engineering and medicine. Middle gain the least as the depopulation due to the number of killings has decreased their capability and human pool of resource to fuel their economic growth and technological advancement.
