WILL GIVE 30 POINTS AND BRAINLIEST IF YOU ANSWER IN YOUR OPINION!!

Space exploration of any kind costs billions of dollars. Some people argue that it is well worth the cost because of the discoveries that are made that ultimately benefit everyone. Others argue that the benefits do not outweigh the costs and that we should be using that money for other purposes including poverty reduction, education, and rebuilding our infrastructure. What is your position? Why?

I believe that although there are a lot of problems here on the ground that need to be addressed, if we stopped conducting space exploration, millions would lose their jobs and lose the ability to do what they love to do. The scientific discoveries that we are destined to uncover with space exploration may come back to benefit us later. One reason is that we may need to abandon our planet someday, if we keep doing things the way we are currently. Space exploration may save our species someday in the future. Who knows, we may even discover a new form of intelligent life that can help us. But that is a whole other story based on opinion.
