I chose political.

“I consider the political effects of the war to be the number 1 cost of the American Civil War, the reason why I believe this is the north and south didn’t get along, they disagreed on many issues. Therefore, during the war there was not 1 flag, 1 president, America was divided into two. Seeing the difference between Abraham Lincoln (South) and George B. McClellan (North) I can tell north was very greedy with slaves and McClellan didn’t do anything about it, however south I can see Lincon didn’t want anymore selling of slaves, he wanted them to be free. I also know that Lincon (South) did not want to accept war to let the nation survive, but they had to accept for all to not perish. So now we know North started the war to destroy the nation. Now better explained why I consider political effects of the war to be the number 1 cost of the American Civil War, we can see that one side wanted something and the other side did not want to follow through with it, thus the war had begun.”
