n + ( 2n - 30 ) = 90

n + 2n - 30 = 90

3n - 30 = 90

3n = 30 + 90 = 120

n = 120 / 3 = 40°

One of two complementary angles is 30 less than twice other: 2x - 30

Sum of complimentary angles add to be 90 degrees

x + 2x - 30 = 90

3x = 120

x = 40
