A smaller number is 3 less than half a large number. The large number is 10 times 1 less than the smaller number. Which equation can be used to mode the situation ?

x= 3- 1/2y

y= 10 x 1-x

Your answers would be: Systems of Equations ====> n = (1 / 2 ) n - 3; and p = 10x - 1

Smaller Number is 3 Less than 1 /2, a Large Number:

Smaller Number =========> n = (1 / 2) * n - 3


Large Number is 10 Times; 1 Less than the Smaller Number:

Larger Number: ==========> p = 10x - 1
