Respuesta :

The author attributes human characteristics to an animal ( in this case a snail) to speculate upon what that force might be. The MEANING is what motivates us to keep moving forward through our lives, despite all the effort required to do so?

Several questions may arise... such as

What burdens you?

Who are you?

What do you own?

What have you been given?

What is calling you to the other side? ( the snail crosses the road used as a metaphore on what is waiting on the other side)

The poem called "The Crossing" means the effort to keep moving forward by motivating us.

Explanation:

The crossing is a popular poem that is written by ‘’Ruth Moose’’. The author attributes the human characteristics to a snail in this saying. The meaning of this passage explains the questions what motivates us to keep moving on in our life by facing what we are gone through in our lives.

Just like how the snail crosses the road by thinking what is waiting on the other side, it is used as a metaphore here so that we should also expect what we are going to face in upcoming days.
