The translation for the sentences I provided as the answer is:

I arrived at the place where I was staying. I took the phone. I dialed my home number. My mother answered my call. We talked for twenty minutes.

To solve this exercise I wrote the sentences in Preterite Tense, which is used   to describe past actions that were fully completed.
