B.To make it easier to throw foreigners out of the country
The Alien Act was passed in 1798 under the administration of John Adams.
The Alien Act was passed out of concern regarding new immigrants arriving in the US and what threat they may pose to the newly developing country. The law gave the federal government the right to deport immigrants believed to pose a threat to the US. The law also allowed for voting restrictions for immigrants. This act was the first step in limiting immigration and the rights an immigrant received when entering the US.
