Look at the atomic number on the period table.

You can find the protons by looking at the atomic number on the periodic table. It should be the one at the top.
Helpful Facts:
1. The atomic number is always the same as the number of protons.
2. The number of protons and neutrons add up to the atomic mass.
3. Protons have a positive charge, neutrons have no charge, or what we call a neutral charge, and electrons have a negative charge.
4. If there is more electrons than protons in an atom; that atom is also called an ion.
