Write and solve an equation of ratios to answer this question:

Pineapple   Orange

Juice            Juice

   x                1 cup

----------    =     ------------

 2/3 c              1/3 c

Then (1/3 c)x = (2/3) c^2.

Multiplying both sides by (3/1) will clear the fractions:

x = (3/1)(2/3) c = 2 cups (answer)

Frances will need 2 cups of OJ for each 1 cup of pineapple juice.
