During the beggining of the 8th century B.C, Rome grew from a town into an empire. All the roads leads to Rome because at that time, Rome was the world's capital, it represented the center of the empire's glory, These roads, built from about 300 B.C, were used for transportation of agricultural goods, and provided means for the movement of armies, and people; this contributed to the development of the empire and favoured great migrations to Rome and also, gave to Rome, the most powerful city, much more power.
