The statement below is sometimes true. An example of this is with 1 and 2. Their lowest common multiple is 2 and 1 times 2 is 2. So, that's correct. Another example of this is with 2 and 4. Their lowest common multiple is four and 2 times 4 is 2 so that's not always right.
It is sometimes true 
One example is the least common multiple of 2 and 3 is 6, which is their product.
But the product isn't always the answer because
 Example 2: the least common multiple of 6 and 10 is 30 because 6*5=30 and 3*10=30, however 6*10 is 60.
