Some advice for safe food handling are:

- Use different cutting boards for raw foods.  The board can transfer deadly bacteria, parasites and viruses, so it is better to use separate boards.

- Cook food to the right temperatures to kill the harmful bacteria.(roasts and steaks to at least 145 F, whole poultry (chicken, turkey, duck) should be cooked to 165 F, ground beef (hamburger) to at least 160 F....)

- Refrigerate foods quickly because cold temperatures keep harmful bacteria from growing and multiplying.

- Buy and eat food at only approved sources.
