The correct answer for the kinetic energy of the car is 484,000 joules.

We can find this by using the formula. The formula for kinetic energy is [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex]m[tex]v^{2} \\[/tex]

Knowing this we can fill in the formula using the info we were provided. Doing this we get: [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] (2,000 · [tex]22^{2}[/tex])

[tex]22^{2}[/tex] = 484

2,000 · 484 = 968,000

[tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex] · 968,000 = 484,000
