Paul has had to indirectly confront the physical conflicts to which his race has been subjected, through inhumane treatment to which African-Americans were subjected from where he came, despite having a white father, who recognized him and he was raised until he was a man, the people of his origin, because of their skin color and their quality of slaves did not enjoy any rights, besides being transferred or sold as a good, they were lynched, tortured and murdered in case of putting resistance to the shameless look of white people. However Paul was under other circumstances. Although for him his situation was quite complex since it caused discontent among the whites who discriminated against him because despite not having such a dark skin, they knew that his inheritance was black. Social conflicts are presented in the struggle that Paul had to make his way in a racist society based on prejudice.
