Rewrite the sentences in the passé composé or the imparfait based on the cues.

Fabrice et moi recevons beaucoup de cadeaux (d'habitude)
On voit les montages derrière l'église. (tout à coup)
Je crois aux extraterrestres. (quand j'étais enfant)
Tu reçois un appel urgent de ton bureau? ( le week-end dernier)

imparfait is a repeated action in the past whereas passé composé is a finished action

dhabitude=usually=imparfait

D’habitude, Fabrice et moi recevions beaucoup de cadeaux

tout a coup=all of a sudden=passé

Tout à coup, on a vu les mantages derrière l’église

quand j’etais enfant=when i was a child=imparfait(was used in statement)

quand jetais un enfant, je croyais aux extraterrestres

last weekend=passé

le week-end debrief tu as reçu un apple urgent de tin bureau?

hier =yesterday=passé

hier il a s’apperçu de sea erreurs

PASSÉ COMPOSÉ or IMPARFAIT

passé composé = for completed  actions in the past, new events

imparfait             =  repeated actions/ habits/incomplete actions in the past

Passé composé relate new events or feelings,

Imparfait set scenes  in the past, describes what was going on, past habits, state of being

Fabrice et moi recevions beaucoup de cadeaux d'habitude.  -->  (habits, repeated actions in the past = imparfait)

Tout à coup, on a vu les montagnes derrière l'église.  --->  (new  event in the past = passé composé)

Je croyais aux extraterrestres quand j'étais enfant. --->  ( describes how it was at an indefinite lenght of time in the past = imparfait)

Tu as reçu un appel urgent de ton bureau le week-end dernier ? ---> (completed action at a definite time in the past = passé composé)

Hier, il s'est aperçu de ses erreurs. ----> ( completed acion at a definite moment = passé composé)
