As the temperature increases, what happens to the solubility of a solid? Of a gas?

Respuesta :

As temperature increases, so does solubility. Think of when you are making hot chocolate vs when you make chocolate milk. The powder mixed into the hot chocolate dissolves easily within the milk because of the high temperature (meaning high solubility). Powder in the cold chocolate milk does not dissolve as easily because of the low temperature meaning low solubility.

For gases, it is almost the opposite. As temperature increases the solubility of gas decreases.
