Equation to find answer: 9+9+x+x=72

Since all sides add up to perimeter we do this equation!

Simplify: 18+2x=72

Subtract 18 from both sides

2x=54

/2 /2

x=27 yards

Double Check: 9 yd + 9yd + 27yd + 27yd = 72yd

Answer: 27 yards
