Displacement: in the event of gentrification, people are displaced from their usual homes which is hard to adjust to.
Homelessness: People staying in areas facing gentrification are low in the social class, they at times fail to afford other housing facilities, they therefore become homeless.
Positive
Lower crime rates: Low earning of the lowly who previously inhabitet an area undergoing gentrification makes them engage in social crimes, after gentrification, wealthy people occupy the area leading to a decline in crimes.
Better social ammenities replace the previous ones, ranging from water, malls and so forth.
