If the [tex]\frac{sinR}{1}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{8}{17}[/tex] you can simply put [tex]\frac{8}{17}[/tex] into a scientific calculator and press "sin-1" to get an answer of approximately 28, which means that angle R is 28°
