Unless you are given the okay to do something then you have just obtained consent. for example if someone asked someone else if they wanted to have sex, and they give an unsure answer, they you just had sex with someone without consent. Or if they say no, maybe, I don't know, not really, maybe not yet, and you still have sex with them then that is having sex without their consent.
If they say something along the lines like, Yes I want to do it, then you have consent, anything other than that is a hard no.
