Respuesta :
The change in velocity that occurs at a specific moment in time known as acceleration
Further explanation
Acceleration is rate of change of velocity.
If the acceleration is constant, the following formulas apply
[tex]\large {\boxed {a = \frac{v - u}{t} } }[/tex]
[tex]\large {\boxed {d = \frac{v + u}{2}~t } }[/tex]
[tex]\large {\boxed {d = u t + \frac{1}{2}a t^2 } }[/tex]
[tex]\large {\boxed {v^2 = u ^2 + 2 a d}[/tex]
a = acceleration ( m/s² )
v = final velocity ( m/s )
u = initial velocity ( m/s )
t = time taken ( s )
d = distance ( m )
The change in velocity that occurs at a specific moment in time known as acceleration.
The change in displacement that occurs at a specific moment in time known as velocity.
The instantaneous acceleration and velocity can also be written as follows:
[tex]v = \frac{ dx }{ dt }[/tex]
[tex]a = \frac{ dv }{ dt }[/tex]

The change in velocity that occurs at a specific moment in time known as acceleration.
Acceleration can be described as the rate of change of velocity of an object, whether it speeds up or slow down. Acceleration only takes place when there is a change in the velocity of an object.
Further Explanation
However, acceleration is taken as positive if the objects speed up and negative if its speed down.
According to the newton law of motion, this is caused by the net unbalanced force that acts on the object. To avoid confusion, there are different two types of formula for acceleration.
The first formula is deduced from newton’s first law of motion, which is (F = MA), where F is force, M is mass and A is acceleration.
Another formula is written as a = Δv ÷ Δt, where acceleration (a) is equals to change in velocity (Δv) divided by change in time (Δt).
The first formula clearly shows the relationship between acceleration, force and mass while the second formula calculate the acceleration of an object based on change in velocity over a specified period of time.
Acceleration is a vector quantity, it is denoted by “a” and its SI unit is m/s2
