A great example about biotechnology is called... Manufacturing! And whyyy?.. Cuz it's joins bio-catalysts such as enzymes, yeast, and others, putting them together, mixing them, whichever you'll like to call it becomes microscopic manufacturing plants. As for the newly age that's doused with nothing but advance, futuristic-like technology, makes our or any other species DNA isolated, copied and manipulated, which is pretty handy for some medical types of matter.
