A person with high emotional intelligence also tends to have a better decision-making process, considering emotions and managing those emotions in an orderly fashion. This usually leads to better functionality both in personal and work environments.

An important feature to influence people, is Empathy which is commonly associated with a high emotional intelligence coefficient, so we can assume that people with those traits will be able to better influence others.
