The outer core of the Earth is formed by liquid iron, with temperatures that can reach 3,000 ° C, its size is up to 5,150KM. It is in the outer core that the earth's magnetic field originates, generated from the movement of the liquids that make up the outer core. Seismic waves are the vibration movements that occur inside the earth and propagate on the earth like earthquakes or explosions, so through seismology it was important to determine the size of the nucleus, because from the study of seismic waves it is possible to determine direction, time and path of the waves, as well as those waves that are reflected and refracted. Therefore it was through the study of mechanical waves that one can discover important features of the structure of our planet.
