Genesis Chapters One and Two reveal that God created human nature in His image and likeness, which is above the nature of animals.

God has love as His nature. This divine nature implies that love is intrinsic to human nature. Love things, love other creatures. Love God. God imbued human nature with emotions and reasoning.

God also created humans to obey Him. Obedience was the only commandment given to Adam. Even with the examples of obedience offered through the Decalogue and Christology, the nature of human beings remains to love and obey God.

God also created human nature to be the preserver of the Earth and its inhabitants.

Thus, human beings have the utmost responsibility to ensure that we do not destroy the Earth but cultivate it till its appointed time.
