Bonjour

Have you learnt the partitive articles yet ? .....

those which are translated by "some", "any" ... used for unspecified quantity

du => masc. sing. = some bread, some rice = du pain , du riz

de la => fem. sing. = some flour = de la farine

de l' => fem. and masc. sing when the following noun begins with a vowel (elision) = some water = de l'eau; some money = de l'argent

des = plural = some apples = des pâtes

de =plural when the noun  preceded by an adjective = de belles pommes

rice with fish = du riz avec du poisson

ice cream with pineapple = de la glace avec de l'ananas

hope I made it clear ☺☺☺
