What is protein?
A protein is defined as a naturally occurring, complex substance which consists of amino acid residues fused by peptide bonds. Proteins are occurs in all living organisms and include many essential biological compounds such as hormones, enzymes, and antibodies.
A histone is a protein which provides structural support in a chromosome. Each chromosome comprises of a long molecule of DNA, that must fit into the nucleus of the cell.
