Hi! Well, this task is pretty personal since it is related to what you like, and which are your favorite subjects. I would say, answering the first question, that your grades, test scores, and/or class ranking are quite accurate predictors of your potential success in the Honors College.
Explanation:
I think the answer is yes, all those things are accurate predictors of your potential success in the Honors College. I think so because they reflect the way you commit to your studies and education in general. Of course, there will probably be subjects that you like more and some others that you don't like at all, but for those subjects, you will probably try harder and make a good job anyways. Also, your grades, test scores, etc. show how organized you are, how you pay (or not) attention in class, and how you are willing to learn or not. This reflects, not only how you are making it at school, but also the way you are, and the way you will be in the future as well. Because how you are at school is nothing more than the way you are everywhere else, it is a reflection of your personality. So, that is why I think that all those grades and test scores, and even ranking classes can give you an idea of how possible it is for you to succeed in the Honors College.
On the other hand, the second question is very personal. In order to know which is your intended major and why you should think of what makes you happy, what you enjoy doing, even in your spare time. That can be, with no doubts, your future and will give you an idea of the major that would be best according to your favorite activities.
