describe a real situation where you would have a remainder
[tex] \div [/tex]
[tex]divison[/tex]

Answer:
This is actually pretty simple.
Say you are giving things to a group of people (... hmm... idk... lets be generic and say pencils). You have 27 pencils and 5 people to give them to. BUT... you want to give them each the EXACT SAME NUMBER (so as not to be unfair).
So you do your math and find that 27/5 gives you the answer of 5 remainder 2. This means that each person gets five pencils and you get to keep the remaining 2.
(You can sub any item into this same format (Cookies, erasers, candy, rocks, stickers, papers, used tissues...)).
