i learned that kinetic energy is energy when an object is actually moving not including the moving particles. i also learned that a thermometer measures kinetic energy. my question is that if a thermometer measures by sticking the point into an object how is that checking the kinetic energy which is the movement of the energy in an object. can you please help me understand this concept. thank you!

Same thing is that when you run or exercise your body temperature is raising(because of moving ).

When you sit your body does not raise temperature.
