Since the question already give the slope we only need to find the y-intercept.

Slope-intercept form: y = mx + b

-6 = 1/2(7) + b

-6 = 3.5 + b

-6 - 3.5 = 3.5 - 3.5 + b

-9.5 = b

Now, we can write this in slope-intercept form.

y = 1/2x - 9.5
