To find: Number of classmates received the lemonade
From given question,
Total cups of lemonade = [tex]12\frac{3}{4}[/tex]
[tex]\rightarrow 12\frac{3}{4} = \frac{4 \times 12 + 3}{4} = \frac{51}{4}[/tex]
cups of lemonade received by each classmate = [tex]\frac{7}{8}[/tex]
Thus, number of classmates received the lemonade can be found by dividing total cups of lemonade by cups of lemonade received by each classmate
[tex]\rightarrow \frac{\frac{51}{4}}{\frac{7}{8}}=\frac{51}{4} \times \frac{8}{7}[/tex]
[tex]\rightarrow 14.57[/tex]
