In what ways were you expected to show respect for your parents?

Did you consider your parents your friends?

What were the topics of big disagreements you had with your parents?

What were your greatest sources of stress?

Who had a stronger influence on you, your peer group or family? Why do you think that was so?

What were the symbols of wealth?  How important was it to be wealthy?

What percent of your time was spent with your peers?

What did you do for fun?  How did you spend your free time?

What were the different roles for sons and daughters?

What made someone an adult?   At what age were you expected to be independent?

This is an interview for my sociology class, so if anyone could take a few minutes to answer these, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

3. what I should be allowed to do, if what I’m doing is wrong
4. living up to their expectations
5. I think both had strong influences in different areas. My parents influenced my character and integrity. However my peer group influenced my humour and social skills. I guess my parents influenced me more.
6. symbols of wealth were have a nice house and not spending money on the little stuff but on important things. Being wealthy wasn’t important but spending money wisely was.
7. for fun I hung out with friends and I did cross country and track. So, I didn’t have a lot of free time so I was always with friends when I was free
8. I only had a sister and I’m a girl so idk the difference. We did the typical son roles too like building with my dad, grilling etc.
9. I have no idea to be honest
