What life would be without 3rd amendment?

3rd amendment: soldiers shall not be quartered in people’s homes

Respuesta :

Life today is ultimately not affected by the 3rd amendment because war hasn't taken place on US soil since the Civil War in 1865. The amendment protects private citizens and private homeowners from a military take over of their home for housing for soldiers. Forcing private citizens to open their homes and provide room and board for British soldiers was a violation of privacy and was a perfect example of the tyranny of the British Crown and went down as one of the Intolerable Acts that ultimately ended the colonists loyalty to the King and England's Rule leading to the Revolutionary War.
