The total resistance in this circuit is ___ ohms. The battery voltmeter should read volts.


Sorry i didn't put it under science it didn't give it as an option. Could somebody answer this question and explain how they got it? I would greatly appreciate it!

Explanation:

Using the attached circuit diagram,

Total Resistance Rt = R₁ + R₂ + R₃

                                = 12 Ohms + 8 Ohms + 10 Ohms

                            Rt = 30 Ohms

Voltage V  = IR

where V = ?, I = Current = 10 Amperes, R = Resistance = 30Ohms

∴ V = 10 * 30

      = 300 Volts
