Is the mode of inheritance of the ABO blood types representative of dominance? of recessiveness? of codominance?

Respuesta :

Answer:

Codominance

Explanation:

The mode of inheritance of the ABO blood types is the representative of co-dominance. In ABO blood type three types of alleles are present IA, IB, and i. IA and IB are dominant and i allele is recessive.

So when two dominant alleles IA and IB come together they both are co-dominantly expressed in the offspring and the blood group of the offspring becomes AB. This is the reason the ABO blood group is an example of co-dominance.
