ok so idk much tips but i wanted to start playing too and no one supported me bc im a girl xD i think if u practice everyday for an hour u could get pretty good at it. i write songs when im bored, and u could do that too:) and dont be scared with sharing it with others but make sure they dont steal it hahha.
