Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is used to sequence entire genomes such that millions to billions of DNA strands can be sequenced in parallel and therefore reducing the need for fragment cloning methods. Unlike the Sanger sequencing the NGS is a high-throughput and it yields more throughput.
