According to Small Arm Survey, it was reported that there are about over one billion small arms distributed globally and of which 857 million of the firearm are in civilian hand( about 85 percent), it was also reported that United States citizens alone account for about 393 million which 46 percent of the worldwide total of civilian held firearms.
