if u wanna write a poem, kinda choose what emotion u want, i usually do sad bc its easier for me. u also gotta choose what u want it to be abt, like ur insecurities, or a dog passing. with that, make a sad sentence first and add a pause in between and read aloud to see if it sounds poetic if u know what i mean. with the word before the pause, look for words that rhyme with that and try to keep writing.
just fyi some poems dont even need to rhyme they just need emotion
you can also do haiku's and more which can be easier:)
