1.) To boost the local economy, a city business bureau provides discounts to area attraction for people attending conventions, hoping this will encourage them to bring their families. The bureau wants to see if the marketing campaign was successful.

Which of these methods will produce the most representative sample of the population of convention participants?

A: The bureau sends an email to a random selection of people who have been registered as convention participants during the past six months.

B: Surveyors stand outside local attractions and ask arriving guests if any member of their family is in town for a convention.

C: The business bureau surveys all the convention visitors who stay at the hotel nearest the convention hall.

D: Surveyors stand beside one of the booths during a convention and ask the people who visit the booth if they brought their families.

If you still need the answer, I'd be happy to help and explain why it would be B. It is asking what the bureau should do to see if the campaign was successful right? So if they did as A suggests, that would work however it wouldn't guarantee answers. C would only get people staying at that one hotel and not everyone will be staying there. D would only be getting the people going to that particular booth. So B is the best answer as they are standing at the place they gave a discount to so you know people that got the discount will be going there so it would be the best choice to get the answers they want.
Hope that helps c:
